We checked 6 places to buy a Christmas tree near Oxford, from Appleton and Marsh Baldon farms to delivery, for 2026 dates and prices. Updated November 2026.
There are six places to buy a real Christmas tree for an Oxford home in 2026, and this guide puts them in one place with opening dates, prices and delivery. Most people will land on Appleton Christmas Barn, west of the city, which opens on 13 November; Highfield Trees at Marsh Baldon, which cuts trees from its own field; and The Tree Barn at Christmas Common, which has grown trees for Downing Street. Every entry was checked against the seller’s own website on 5 November 2026.
We have not bought a tree from any of these for this guide, and nothing here is a review. Each entry says what the seller says it does, with its own prices where it publishes them. Two of the six have not yet posted 2026 prices, so their figures are last year’s and are marked that way.

Highfield says its list prices are for its best trees and that most trees on the farm sell for less. Jacksons’ prices were reduced on its site on 5 November and may change.
Farms to visit
1. Highfield Trees, Marsh Baldon
Highfield Trees is a family farm at Marsh Baldon, about six miles south-east of the city centre, and the trees are grown in the fields where they are sold. The Elliott family began growing Christmas trees in the mid-1980s and moved to this site about ten years later.
It grows mainly Nordmann firs, with Norway spruce, Noble fir and Blue spruce, and says it cuts fresh trees each day it is open rather than felling the best first. A cheaper range of budget trees carries a green label, and Anne Elliott makes wreaths from the farm’s own foliage.
Norway spruce goes on sale from Saturday 5 December, earlier only by request.
Last year the farm delivered every Tuesday from late November to mid-December; its 2026 delivery dates are not yet on the site.

It sells fresh-cut Nordmann and Fraser firs, Norway and Serbian spruce and Lodgepole pine, all from British Christmas Tree Growers Association members, plus pot-grown trees and stands.
Since 2008 it has also run a decorations shop stocked from more than 45 suppliers. Three reindeer, Tiny Tim, Sami and Frankincense, live at the barn, and there is no charge to visit or to see them.
The barn says well-behaved dogs on a lead are welcome in the shop, but not straight from a muddy walk.
Open every day Fri 13 November to Thu 24 December, 10am to 6pm; to 8pm on Thursdays and Fridays from 26 November; from 9am on 28 and 29 November and 5 and 6 December; closes 5pm on Christmas Eve

It sells cut Nordmann and Lasiocarpa firs, Norway and Serbian spruce, and pot-grown Nordmann, Norway and Blue spruce, with a smaller Christmas shop and a Coffee Cabin in the farmyard. It no longer takes online orders.
Dogs are welcome where the trees are sold but must be carried in the shop. The farm takes trees back for recycling up to 9 January 2027, and suggests coming on a weekday because weekends get busy.

How we chose
We looked for farms within a reasonable drive of Oxford that publish 2026 dates, a garden centre in the city, and a firm that delivers to Oxford postcodes, and kept only those whose own websites we could read on 5 November 2026. Where a seller has not yet posted this year’s prices, we give last year’s and say so. We left out Bunkers Hill Plant Nursery at Kidlington, which we could find no website or 2026 details for, and Webbs at Millets Farm, whose site does not list real trees.
